Karmapa International Buddhist Institute (also known as K.I.B.I. or KIBI) is a school of higher learning based on the great treatises of Buddhism. Founded by 16th Gyalwa Karmapa Lama and cofounder Shamar Rinpoche, K.I.B.I. aims at furthering wisdom and compassion based on the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. K.I.B.I. belongs to Trinley Thaye Dorje, 17th Gyalwa Karmapa. Since 1990, the Institute has offered a 4-year-programme which is awarded as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Buddhist philosophy. Courses in Tibetan language are also available. K.I.B.I. is located in the prestigious Qutab Institutional Area in New Delhi, India. ==External links==
